La Casa di Ros
accommodation community
The “La Casa di Ros” accommodation community welcomes minors aged between 14 and 18 or 21 years who need an alternative environment to their family of origin. Its goal is to offer them a context of welcome and support that promotes emotional and psychological well-being, allowing a healthy development of their personality.
La Casa di Ros, located in Melito di Napoli in a property confiscated from organized crime, is named in memory of Rosario Mauriello, a 21-year-old who, on January 11, 1994, by tragic mistake, was killed by the Camorra. Rosario, born in Melito di Napoli in 1973, dreamed of becoming a policeman and loved football. He came from an honest and respectable family, whose destiny was brutally marked by the violence of organized crime. In his memory, La Casa di Ros wants to be a symbol of hope and rebirth, a place where young people can find support, trust and tools for a different future.
The educational approach is based on the creation of a family environment where minors can feel welcomed, respected and supported in their growth path. The multidisciplinary team works to ensure individualized support, promoting social and work integration of young guests, through educational and inclusion projects.
La Casa di Ros represents a reality in which young people can acquire skills to face the transition to adulthood with greater autonomy, building a future based on solid relationships and concrete opportunities for personal and professional growth.
