The “Korogocho” Sheltered Accommodation, located in Giugliano in Campania in a property confiscated from organized crime, is a residential facility that offers a safe and welcoming environment to minors aged between 13 and 18 years. The service is aimed at ensuring young guests a harmonious growth path, promoting the development of personal and relational autonomy.
Korogocho is a Sheltered Accommodation for Unaccompanied Foreign Minors (UAMs) and is linked to the SIPROIMI Project (Protection System for Holders of International Protection and Unaccompanied Foreign Minors). The community can accommodate up to 15 minors, providing them with targeted support and an educational path that facilitates social and work integration in the Italian territory.
Through a targeted educational project, the community ensures constant support, promoting the psychophysical well-being and social integration of the children. The proposed activities aim to enhance individual skills and create opportunities for training and social inclusion.
The educational team works in synergy with social services and local institutions to ensure a growth path tailored to the needs of each minor, offering them an environment that can represent a stable and positive point of reference in their lives. Furthermore, the structure is located in a property confiscated from organized crime, transforming it into a place of welcome and hope for young migrants.
